Paul Vinecombe commenced trading in antiques in Bendigo as “Collectors Choice” in 1981 and after five successful years, moved to Melbourne and opened a shop in Camberwell, before moving to Sydney in 1990.
After years of managing “The Birkenhead Antique Centre” and running “Antiques at Birkenhead” the move was finally made to the Hunter Valley in Cessnock, where Paul now trades under his own name, having been in the antiques trade for over 25 years.
The shop houses an array of fine quality furniture, both antiques and pre-loved decorative pieces. Styles range from early Georgian and Victorian to modern day pieces. The decoratives range from clocks to paintings, mirrors, lamps, glass, silverplate and fine quality ceramics. Royal Worcester to Doulton; Coalport to Minton – the range is always of the highest quality and care is taken not to have any damaged pieces. An excellent range of crystal is always offered including decanters, vases, bowls, scent bottles and decorative pieces.

The shop is usually open 10am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. However, Paul lives on the premises and is happy to open the shop out of hours with just a call to the mobile phone. Email is checked weekly.
